Tatsiana Zhurauliova is an art historian, whose work focuses on the intersection of visual culture and discourses on identity and difference in the United States and in Eastern Europe. Currently a postdoctoral fellow within the ERC project Demoseries, she works on the role of TV series in shaping the political imagination and discourse on democracy. 

Education and Academic Positions :

  • 2014, Yale University, PhD in Art History, awarded the Frances Blanshard fellowship prize for outstanding dissertation in the history of art
  • 2014-2018, the University of Chicago, Collegiate Assistant Professor and a Harper and Schmidt Fellow in the Society of Fellows
  • 2018-2020, Université Paris Cité and Université Paris Nanterre, Terra Foundation for American Art Research and Teaching Fellow
