Global Matters, supported by the Université Paris Cité is a cross-disciplinary research project which focuses on global material circulations from the Renaissance to the present day
It links together 4 research units at Université Paris Cité

- SPHERE (UMR 7219) – Sciences, Philosophie, Histoire
- LIED (UMR 8236) Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Energies de Demain
- CRCAO (UMR 8155) Centre de Recherche sur les Civilisations de l’Asie orientale
It fosters and supports projects in these research units on aspects of global history, material culture and history of technology.
In 2019 it started a partnership with Brepols publishers and is now a series publishing titles on global history, material culture and history of technology. The series publishes in English and French.

Series of videos
In collaboration with several museums in and around Paris (Musée Cognacq-Jay, Musée de la toile de Jouy…), Paris-Musées and the studio video Paris Diderot, the project has produced a series of small outreach videos.
